Acclaim for WavePad Sound Editing Software

WavePad Audio Editing Software Bronze Award from Top Ten ReviewsWe are very grateful that the reviewers over at TopTenReviews recently took the time to review NCH's WavePad Sound Editor. Not only did they write a very good review of one of our favorite programs, but they awarded WavePad their Bronze Award in the Audio Editing Software category. When talking about WavePad the review states that, "WavePad’s greatest strength lies in its intuitive, user-friendly interface and overall simplicity." The reviews goes on to say:

"WavePad strikes an incredible balance between high-end and low-end, advanced and beginner level audio and sound editing software programs, giving users of various professions, skill-sets and program needs an incredible range with which to work. Best of all, it does so without over-simplifying its interface or limiting users to only a handful of tools."

  1. I upgraded my version of WavePad Master's Edition, but I can't find the Sound Effect Library that was advertised with the upgrade. Where do I find it?

  2. The sound effect library can be opened from the tools menu. From the main window click on tools, select "Sound Effect Library" and it will open a new window for you to browse and preview all of the effects and music files.

  3. Does one still have to purchase a license for incremental updated versions and/or patches of WavePad or your other apps? I'm interested in purchasing two to four apps, but need to know that we won't be paying for fixed bugs or patches, especially as a non-profit on a tight budget. Thank you in advance for your response.

  4. Updated releases are currently covered for three months from your purchase date.

  5. Thank you Jennifer for your quick response to my first question. I have a few more. I started the process of purchasing four applications but couldn't finish, because I couldn't find the answers on your website. If I choose the purchase option to "Add Software Club Subscription (for) $4.99 per month (charged 3 monthly)", what does "charged 3 monthly" mean? Does that mean that we will pay $4.99 for 3 months, for all four of the apps that we are buying, AFTER the initial 3 free months of updated releases that you mentioned in your first answer? Would this be a total of $14.97 then, for all four apps? If this is correct, then is it correct to believe that we would have 6 months in which to receive updated releases for all four related (audio) apps? Lastly, the order page also says, "Gives you free endless upgrades of all programs for the life of your subscription. Get an additional 20% off the already discounted prices of any software purchase and other offers. Your support plan will be extended on expiration at the same level for the life of your subscription" I could not find anything anywhere that tells us what the life of our subscription would be. 1 year? Until the next major release? Indefinitely? What is the "support plan" exactly, and what is its "level"? I'm sorry for so many questions, but although we're only starting with four apps, if they work out well, and fit within our budget, we would consider purchasing more, so it's imperative to have these questions completely answered, in a manner that can be easily understood, and so that the exact FINAL cost can be determined beforehand. Thank you again for your expeditious response. I hope that the answers will benefit other potential buyers, who may have simply abandoned their shopping cart for these unanswered questions, as I initially did.

  6. Is it correct to say that WavePad can also rip from a cd? If yes, can it combine the tracks and output a single file for easier editing? Thank you.

  7. Yes, you can import audio from a CD. I believe these will all be individual files, but you can combine files together. You may find it helpful to watch the WavePad video tutorials we have put together.

I honestly don't have a solid answer for you on the pricing question because i don't seem to be seeing the same options that you are describing, are you trying to purchase through NCH software or an affiliate company that sells our products? You may want to contact our presales support for WavePad for more help than I can provide.

  8. Thank you for your answers Jennifer. To answer your question, I was using the NCH website. I've submitted my questions to the presales dept. Thank you again. P.S. I watched all the WavePad video tutorials, and used the trial software before submitting any of my questions.
