Design your Dream Garden Using DreamPlan Home Design

As the winter months quickly approach, we understand you’re getting ready for non-stop traveling, shopping and in some cases shoveling snow every other day. Add a Soil Path

Once you have downloaded DreamPlan, start designing your garden by “Creating a Path.” You can find this feature under the ‘Exterior’ tab. DreamPlan offers over 15 path styles, including soil, cement, clay and many more. For our Garden purposes, select the ‘Soil’ option. This option makes your garden look more vibrant and realistic.

Begin planning your garden by using your mouse and left- clicking the area you want your garden to occupy. Notice the landscaping grid; you can find this feature on the right side of your screen and choose to turn it on or off. Having this feature turned on however, makes it easy to trace the exact area in coordinates for your garden design.

Hold the ‘Shift’ key to create angles in your path, and connect a previous point to close the path. DreamPlan’s intuitiveness is at full display when using this feature. You can check out our full interactive video tutorial on how to create a path here.

DreamPlan will display your path once the initial point is connected and the area is closed:

Add Plants, Flowers, and Bushes

Once your soil path is finished, you are ready to begin your virtual planting! Select from a variety of flowers, grasses, plants and trees. You can find the plants selection under the ‘Exterior’ tab in the main menu.

DreamPlan displays each plant or flower when you select it making it easy to see your options before you drag and drop them onto your garden.

Design your garden with Tomato Plants, Rosemary, orchids and many more, the possibilities are endless!
